Cucurbita pepo 'Eight Ball' is an annual vegetable reaching 18-24 inches (45-60 cm) tall with a spread of 36-48 inches (90-120 cm) and a compact, bushy, upright habit. A modern hybrid round zucchini, it produces perfectly round, dark green, glossy fruits 3-4 inches (8-10 cm) in diameter—about the size of a billiard ball at ideal harvest. AAS winner 1999. Harvest at 2-3 inches (5-8 cm) for the most tender flesh, or up to 4 inches (10 cm) for stuffing. Creamy white flesh with a mild, slightly nutty flavor. Days to maturity 40-50 from direct sow.
