Syconium

A syconium is a hollow, urn- or fig-shaped fleshy receptacle whose inner wall is lined with many minute flowers, almost entirely enclosed and reached only through a small apical pore. It is the characteristic 'fruit' structure of figs, ripening into the familiar fleshy fig after the flowers within are pollinated.
