perenne

A growth habit epithet indicating a perennial plant, one that lives for more than two years and persists from season to season rather than dying after a single flowering. It often distinguishes a long-lived species from annual relatives in the same genus. Appears as perennis (masculine and feminine) or perenne (neuter).
