hookeriana

A commemorative epithet honouring Sir William or Sir Joseph Hooker, British botanists. The name alone does not show which Hooker is meant, and it identifies a person rather than any trait of the plant. Appears as hookerianus (masculine), hookeriana (feminine), or hookerianum (neuter).
