Gland

A small secretory organ on a plant surface — often a raised bump, disc or stalked head on a leaf stalk, blade margin, sepal or stem — that exudes nectar, oil, resin or sticky fluid. Glands sited away from the flower are called extrafloral nectaries and commonly attract ants.
