Using the app
Written for the iPhone app specifically. If you are on a computer, the website guide covers the parts the app does not have.
The app has five tabs along the bottom: Today, Plants, Study, Games and Profile.
Today is the home screen — the daily plant, your streak, shortcuts to whatever you were last doing and, once you are signed in, the notification bell.
Plants is the full catalogue: search it, filter it, and open any plant for its photos and care detail. Every plant page has a speak button that pronounces the botanical name out loud.
Study is where flashcards and the quizzes live.
Games holds the three daily puzzles.
Profile has your badges, your progress and the leaderboard — and the gear in its top right corner, which is where Settings lives.
If you have used the website, note the app does not have the floating dock — the five tabs replace it.
Still stuck?
The website help guide has a contact form. In the app, Settings → Contact Support opens an email to support@plantref.org instead — either reaches us, and email is the surer route if you want a reply you can follow up on.
Found a bug, or have an idea? When you are signed in, Settings → Report a Bug and Suggest a Feature open a short form in the app that comes straight to us, the same place the website’s feedback form sends it. Signed out, they open an email instead.
