Reversion
🏷️ Taxonomy●● Intermediate
Reversion occurs when variegated plants produce entirely green shoots. Because green cells photosynthesize more efficiently, they can outcompete variegated cells, especially in low light. Once a stem reverts, it will continue producing green growth. To maintain variegation: provide bright indirect light, prune reverted stems promptly, and propagate only from well-variegated sections.
