platycepalus

A floral arrangement epithet for a plant whose flower head is broad and flattened across the top rather than rounded or conical. The wide, flat-topped cluster is the feature that marks the species out from its relatives. Appears as platycepalus (masculine), platycepala (feminine), or platycepalum (neuter).
