    A geographic epithet placing a plant in the Columbia River country of the Pacific Northwest, the drainage running through British Columbia, Washington and Oregon. It should not be read as a reference to Colombia in South America, which is a separate name altogether. Appears as columbianus (masculine), columbiana (feminine), or columbianum (neuter).
