Is this the same as a professional tree risk assessment?

No. This is an educational screening tool to help identify potential warning signs. A professional TRAQ assessment by an ISA Certified Arborist involves detailed inspection and expert judgment.

What is a TRAQ-qualified arborist?

TRAQ (Tree Risk Assessment Qualification) is an ISA credential for arborists trained in advanced tree risk assessment methodology.

How often should I check my trees for hazards?

Inspect trees at least once a year, plus after major storms, extended droughts, or nearby construction activity.

What should I do if my tree is rated Urgent?

Contact an ISA Certified Arborist or TRAQ-qualified arborist as soon as possible. Avoid spending time under the tree until it has been professionally assessed.
